Ένα μέντιουμ, που είναι ικανό να διαβάζει τις σκέψεις των άλλων, "πιάνει" μέσα σε μια αίθουσα τις σκέψεις ενός δολοφόνου. Σύντομα το μέντιουμ δολοφονείται, με μοναδικό αυτόπτη μάρτυρα έναν Άγγλο πιανίστα. Ο πιανίστας συνεργάζεται με μια ρεπόρτερ, προσπαθώντας να επιλύσει το έγκλημα, για να βρεθεί τελικά μπλεγμένος σε μια παγίδα συνεχών φόνων.
