Είναι το μακρινό έτος 2047 οπότε και εμφανίζεται από το πουθενά σε τροχιά γύρω από τον Ποσειδώνα το πρωτότυπο σκάφος Event Horizon που είχε εξαφανιστεί πριν από 7 χρόνια. Τώρα στέλνει ένα επείγον ακατανόητο σήμα και για το λόγο αυτό αναλαμβάνει μια ομάδα διάσωσης ως αποστολή της, να ερευνήσει το θέμα.
